The primary weapon used by Knights of Veritas is the longsword, renowned throughout the Middle Ages as the "Queen of Weapons." Such high praise was due to the tremendous versatility and effectiveness of the weapon, in addition to the discipline required to wield it. This knightly tradition was taught over the course of hundreds of years. The longsword was approximately 48" in overall length, but typically weighed between just 2.5 and 4 lbs. Audiences never fail to be shocked at how fast and easily handled a longsword really is when used correctly! |
Longswords used by Knights of Veritas are faithful to the historical originals in design, weight, and balance. Our swords are made of tempered carbon steel, designed to flex and return true just as the originals did. This is contrary to the abundance of "collector's items" that abound in the marketplace, characterized by grotesque hilts, exotic names, and stainless steel blades. Such items are meant only for hanging on walls and have neither place nor counterpart in history. Knights of Veritas only uses swords that are both real in form and function, and are faithful to history. |
